We proudly present Davio Elite – the flagship model of our Davio line of tube-based converters featuring Multibit DAC technology.
At the heart of the Elite lies the legendary R2R TDA1541 converter – regarded by many enthusiasts as the most musical DAC chip in the history of digital audio.
Its sound combines natural tone, dynamic expression, and incredibly realistic vocal reproduction in perfect harmony.
These qualities have earned the TDA1541 its iconic status in the audiophile world.
Our years-long journey in search of a musically sounding DAC has often led us back to the TDA1541.
Each return was accompanied by a sense of wonder and a smile, reminding us why this chip is so extraordinary.
It has become more than just a component to us – it is a symbol of passion and a declaration of the sonic character of our tube-based converters.
Davio Elite is the culmination of many months of work and the realization of the concept of an optimal pairing of the TDA1541 with a tube-based output stage, all while maintaining reasonable costs.
The design of the Davio Elite, despite its complexity, has been carefully designed, maintaining a short signal path and orderly cabling.
The digital section is powered by a transformer with a RZC core, complemented by carefully selected capacitors that work in harmony with a nine-point voltage stabilization system.
The TDA1541 is decoupled using high-quality capacitors, further enhancing its performance.
The analog section features 6SL7GT/6N9S triodes, whose high gain and carefully optimized topology enable the creation of a purist, maximally clean analog circuit that preserves the beauty of the original signal.
No compromises. No semiconductor components.
The analogue power supply is provided by a massive, shielded EI transformer and the power supply with a 6X5GT/6C5S rectifier tube, EI choke, selected capacities, smoothes out power supply ripples.
This power supply configuration also introduces an additional layer of musicality and dynamics.
An important element of the design that directly impacts sound quality is the full separation of the digital and analog sections.
Separate transformers and power supplies ensure that the Davio Elite enclosure houses two independent devices: the DAC and the tube section.
The only shared component is the power cord and power inlet.
The Davio Elite DAC works seamlessly with a wide range of tube and transistor-based devices, including power amplifiers with passive volume control.
